The project that started it all.
Our first and riskiest project was the first of its kind in that region of the world, it had never been done before and all odds were stacked against us. Thankfully we prevailed and managed to close the first client of our new company for a one year marketing campaign that featured over 20 events, a launch and sign off as well as a long list of other activities making it an exhausting first year for us, but a year that would pave the way for the company's future.
The Nadec Legend was a small hot rod race car based on a classic 1934 Chevrolet Coupe and was the first of its kind in the region. For a year it would be Nadec's mascot targeting the predominantly young adult male demographic of Saudi Arabia. We supplemented the existing contract with smaller supporting contracts from non-conflicting sponsors and events assisting us in crossing our marketing efforts with much larger companies.
From June 2015 the Nadec Legend and its driver/brand ambassador would gain local cult status before finally being retired in December 2016 at the Riyadh Motor Show. We managed to complete our first corporate contract in one of the toughest markets and prove that Motorsport Marketing is attainable outside of the small elite circles found in America and Europe. More importantly, we had broken even in the first year having started with almost zero budget.
